This is a series of related North Carolina Geological Survey (NCGS) Special Publications: 1) Special Publication 12 [Mesozoic rift basins - Onshore North Carolina and south-centrla Virginia, U.S. A." Deep River and Dan River total petroleum systems (TPS) and assessment units (AU) for continuous gas accumulation, and the Cumberland-Marlboro 'basin', North Carolina], 2) Special Publication 9 [The Deep River Basin Total Petroleum System, North Carolina - Basin Number 1250700461], and 3) Special Publication 10 [The Dan River Basin Total Petroleum System, North Carolina - Basin number 1250701061]. 

The reader should also refer oil and gas publications on the North Carolina Geological Survey's publication list (see especially open-file reports), and the American Association of Petroleum Geologist's 'Search and Discovery' website at URL http://www.searchanddiscovery.com/ for additional publications on oil and gas in North Carolina's rift basins, state waters and offshore.

This provides some guidelines to the user. They are:

1. This report is a PDF document; it is best viewed at 100%. The document is fully searchable.

2. Use the PDF bookmarks for internal document navigation (e.g., open book mark tab and expand all sub-level links).

3. The figures are located at the end of the report. The figures are organized by increasing figure numbers. Depending on the report, they may be in separate folders (e.g., appendices). Seismic sections, maps, etc. are oversize.

4. Tables, if any, are not linked to the text bookmarks. The tables may be in separate folders.
